Visit the You. Smart. Thing. demonstration suite
As part of our commitment to helping SMEs design new data-driven products and services, supported by the European Regional Development Fund backed Big Data Corridor project, You. Smart. Thing. has invested in a suite of ‘Internet of Things’ hardware.
This technology includes an interactive touch screen, with an embedded camera that can be used to recognise people and deliver tailored information, or generic information based on the screens location; a virtual reality environment that can be configured for user testing of new services by installing them in a virtual 3D environment; mobile help-point units designed for crowd management at events, including integration with food and beverage or retail concessions, or to request help with specific accessibility requirements; and smart-watch, smartphone and SMS featurephone devices demonstrating the integration of real-time information and messaging between customers and service providers.
You. Smart. Thing. is offering one-to-one demonstrations and consultations with regional SMEs at its central Birmingham offices, to explore how they can leverage the technologies and associated data sets in respect of specific markets and SME business propositions. Companies that have taken advantage of the service include Dipsta, Tradesoft, MyEd, Innotech, Alcester Home Care Agency and Life Echo.
