Supporting Smarter Travel for the Arts Festivals Sector
‘You. Smart. Thing.’ will be attending the BAFA Conference 2026: Resilient Festivals, taking place at STEAMhouse, Birmingham City University. The two-day conference brings together the UK arts festivals sector to share insight, spark collaboration and explore how festivals can build resilience in an increasingly complex operating environment.
This year’s programme focuses on sustainability, accessibility, income generation and long-term sector resilience – with a mix of panels, roundtables, lightning talks and informal networking designed to support learning and practical exchange.
YST Joining the Sustainability Roundtable
‘You. Smart. Thing.’ will be taking part in the Monday afternoon roundtable sessions (1:45pm) at the BAFA Conference 2026.
Emma Gibbons (Head of Client Development) will join the Sustainability roundtable, alongside discussions covering Attitude is Everything, university and industry partnerships, VAT and taxation, festivals insurance, and BAFA’s RISE programme.
The roundtable format provides space for open discussion, shared learning and practical exchange across the arts festivals sector.

Come Say Hello
Our YST team will be at the event all day – look out for our exhibition stand, and come say hello.
We’ll be on hand to show how the travel assistant can help reduce emissions, enhance accessibility, and improve the overall event experience. Whether you’re planning a festival or managing travel for a venue or destination, we’d love to chat about how smarter journey planning can support your sustainability and audience goals.
