‘You. Smart. Thing.’ will host a panel session during the conference, focused on how major events can shape and encourage more sustainable travel behaviour.

This panel session dives into the overlooked 80% of a typical event’s carbon footprint – the Scope 3 emissions from visitor travel. Featuring case study examples from DF Concerts’ Edinburgh & Glasgow Summer Sessions, Great Run Company, and the Etihad Campus in Manchester, the panel will reveal how personalised travel plans and curated routes can nudge people towards new travel behaviours, accelerating decarbonisation whilst improving visitor experience and event revenues. The panel will discuss the necessity of collaboration between key stakeholders, sharing their experiences of working with local authorities and public transport operators.
