If you prefer to feature your local tram stop you can pick from the following Travel Assistant configurations:

Benefits to Venues

The travel assistant is simple to use and add to your website.  Once live it will enable visitors to plan their trip on any digital device and get the best routes and personalised travel updates – with no app download required. It has been specially commissioned and to showcase accessible Metro routes, active travel, public transport, and park and ride options alongside detailed walking routes to venues, ensuring your visitors have the best possible experience of navigating the West Midlands.

As well as ensuring passengers find the least crowded, great value Metro services, the new Travel Assistant service will also identify the best way to get to and from our tram stops. Even better, personalised journey plans are free for tram passengers to use.

Benefits to Visitors

Once a personalised travel plan has been created visitors will be able to receive alerts. If there are any changes to timetabled services, passengers will be provided with alternative travel options – giving them the opportunity to receive up to the minute information and remain updated on their journey.

Part-funded by GBSLEP, the ‘You. Smart. Thing.’ Travel Assistant platform powers Metro’s bespoke journey planning system and, through us, it is also free for businesses of all types to use. The Travel Assistant service is as easy to add to your website as it is to embed a YouTube video, enabling your visitors to plan journeys on their smartphones with no app download required.

Your visitors can soon be enjoying enhanced travel, with less disruption and delay, and making transport choices that are better for the environment.

To see how the embedded Travel Assistant works you can try it out at:
