We are seeking a proactive and meticulous part-time Finance Manager to join our team for circa 2 days a week (Flexible hours). As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, working directly under the guidance of the CEO/COO and FD. Your responsibilities will encompass managing day-to-day financial activities, maintaining accurate bookkeeping with proficiency in Xero, preparing management accounts and information for the board. Which? Live events account for as much as 80% of transit-based emissions. This is why we focus on the sports, music, cultural, conference, and hospitality sectors.

When? Q3 2025. Whilst our approach is measured, there is a sense of urgency about helping our clients accelerate their journey towards net zero and beyond.

Where? Our platform and founding relationships were developed in the UK. We’re operational in Europe, North America, and Australia with roles available in each market.

Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee and manage daily financial operations, ensuring all financial activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain comprehensive financial records using Xero accounting software.
  • Transactions: process all invoices, expense claims, credit card and bank transactions.
  • Controls: Ensure costs are reviewed, authorisations & signoffs are in place and adhered to.
  • Bank: Ensure bank accounts reconciled daily; prepare/send supplier payment runs.
  • Credit Control: ensure timely billing and chase outstanding debtors for payments.
  • Reconciliation: ensure a regular cadence of Balance Sheet reconciliation and control.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts to be reviewed during board meetings. Update and maintain the financial model.
  • VAT: prepare, validate and submit VAT Return.
  • Payroll: run end to end payroll administrations on Xero incl all payments and submissions.
  • Pension: manage any administration and submissions related to the Nest Pension scheme.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary contact for finance matters, liaise with accountants and advisors.

About You

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant Accounting qualification/experience; ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience with Xero accounting & payroll software is essential, Hubdoc also ideal.
  • Knowledge of Hubspot CRM would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and cloud-based tools.
